Terms of service
Last updated 22 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you (the person or company signing up, "you") and Rumorly, which runs Rumorly ("Rumorly", "we"). By creating a workspace or using the service you accept them. If you accept on behalf of a company, you confirm you're allowed to bind it.
1. The service
Rumorly collects answers to "how did you hear about us?", classifies each one into a channel and a named source, writes the result to your CRM, matches respondents to your billing customers and reports revenue by channel. Features per plan are listed on the pricing page.
2. Your account
You're responsible for your workspace, the people you invite and the API keys you create. Keep passwords and secret keys private and tell us at hello@rumorly.io if you think one leaked; revoke it in Settings → API keys straight away.
3. Plans, trials and payment
- Prices are in US dollars, billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Taxes are added where required.
- New workspaces start with a 14-day trial of the Growth plan. No card is needed and nothing is charged during the trial. When it ends, the workspace moves to the Free plan unless you choose a paid plan; your data is kept.
- Paid plans renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing; access continues until the end of the period you paid for.
- If a payment fails we'll retry and email you. Workspaces with an unpaid balance for more than 14 days move to the Free plan.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; the new price applies from your next renewal after that notice.
- Refunds are described in the refund and cancellation policy.
4. Usage limits
Each plan includes a monthly number of classified answers. When you reach it, new answers are refused (the API answers 402) until the next month or an upgrade. We never charge overage without your say-so.
5. Your data
You own the data you send us: answers, identifiers, and what we read from your CRM and billing account. We process personal data in it only to provide the service, as set out in the Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these terms. Our privacy policy covers data about you as our customer. You confirm you have a lawful basis to send us your respondents' data and to connect the accounts you connect.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Rumorly to:
- send data you have no right to process, or special-category data (health, beliefs and similar) on purpose;
- break the law, infringe others' rights, or send spam through the snippet or webhooks;
- probe, overload or work around the service's security or limits, or resell access without our written agreement.
We may suspend a workspace that puts the service or other customers at risk. We'll tell you why and work with you to restore it, unless the law prevents us.
7. Third-party services
Rumorly connects to services you choose, such as Attio, Stripe and Tally. Their terms govern your use of them. We only read and write what the integration needs; in your CRM we write to the rumorly_* attributes and nothing else.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Rumorly available and fast, but the service is provided without a guaranteed uptime unless we agree one in writing. We may improve or change features; if a change materially reduces what your paid plan includes, we'll tell you at least 30 days ahead and you may cancel with a pro-rata refund of the unused period.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", and neither side is liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data that could have been avoided with reasonable backups. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to it. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud or gross negligence.
10. Ending the agreement
You can close your workspace at any time. We may end the agreement with 30 days' notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these terms. After closure you can export your data for 30 days; then we delete it, as described in the DPA.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws and courts of Romania. We'll always try to resolve a problem by email first: write to hello@rumorly.io.
12. Changes to these terms
We'll post changes here and email workspace owners at least 30 days before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use Rumorly after that means you accept the new terms.
