Rumorly vs Fairing
Fairing asks shoppers after checkout and reports by order. Rumorly reads what B2B signups said and reports by monthly recurring revenue in Stripe.
Different buyers, same question
Fairing is the best-known "how did you hear about us?" tool, and it is built for e-commerce. It shows the question on the Shopify post-purchase page (plus a web SDK, WooCommerce and Salesforce Commerce Cloud) and reports revenue per channel from order totals. Its integrations are the e-commerce stack: Klaviyo, GA4, Segment, Meta CAPI, Triple Whale and friends.
Rumorly is for B2B SaaS, where the answer usually already sits in a CRM field, revenue is a subscription, and the sources are people and shows rather than ad sets.
What's different
- Where answers come from. Fairing collects them at checkout. Rumorly reads the field you already have in Attio, a Tally or Typeform webhook, a CSV, the REST API, or its own in-app snippet.
- Where results go. Fairing's public docs list no CRM, HubSpot or Stripe integration. Rumorly writes
rumorly_channel,rumorly_entityandrumorly_rawback to Attio, and HubSpot is next. - Revenue model. Fairing joins answers to orders. Rumorly joins them to active Stripe subscriptions and normalizes to MRR.
- Free text. Fairing's "Advanced Attribution" adds follow-up questions and suggestions that structure "Other" answers. It was in beta when we checked, with general availability announced for January 2027, and its own blog describes teams recategorizing by hand. Rumorly classifies every free-text answer into a channel and a named source, with a review queue for names it hasn't seen.
- Pricing. Fairing's paid AI attribution is an add-on (from $99/month when we checked). Rumorly includes classification on every paid plan.
